Master's Thesis

What can we learn about American perspectives from Western-themed films and parks? Can a theme park be a museum/heritage site? Why do Westerns surge and drop in popularity? These questions and more are addressed in People and Place: A Journey Through Film, Tourism, and Heritage. Take a look at what Old Tucson Studios looks like through an anthropological lens.

Master's Capstone

Waiting in line is not fun, and waiting in line at a theme park you've spent hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars to enjoy is even worse. In Crowdsourced Data and Visualizing Theme Park Wait Times, I look at data from Touring Plans about Walt Disney World, specifically to gauge more accurate wait times for rides before the park is officially open.
